Washington Academy was founded in 1792 and is one of the oldest institutions in the US. John Hancock signed our school charter. We are located on the ocean on the rocky coast of Maine. Our curriculum features AP courses, Dual enrollment college courses, honors level, and experiential learning opportunities. Some of our most popular courses include Marine Biology, Coastal Ecology, and Outdoor Leadership Education.
